a. Request approval of Board of Trustees
Minutes dated May 22, 2000.
b. Request authorization for Mayor
Glacken to sign the year end results of the 1999 Fire Service Award
Program.
c. Request from Freeport Exempt Fireman’s
Association for the use of a Village tow vehicle to transport Antique
Steamer "Jumbo" to the National SPAAMFAA Show, Parade and
Muster in Lynnfield, Massachusetts June 23 and return on June 25, 2000.
d. Request permission for Richard
Holdener and Donald Rowan to attend the Long Island Emergency Management
Conference in Melville, New York June 14-15, 2000 at an approximate cost
of $400.00.
e. Request authorization for Mayor
Glacken to sign the hold harmless agreement needed for Adelphi
University to allow use of the dormitories by the Naval Academy
midshipmen August 10-14, 2000.

a. Request authorization to transfer
$36,000.00 TO General Fund Revenue Account A4050.0-Federal Aid-Public
Safety and $36,000.00 TO General Fund Expenditure Account A3 120.

b. Request authorization to transfer
$5,064.00 TO General Fund Revenue Account Al710.0-Public Works Fees and
$5,064.00 TO General Fund Expenditure Account Al 640.110-Village
Garage-Overtime.
c. Request authorization to establish a
new revenue account in the General Fund, A3 830.0-State Aid-Justice
Court Assistance.
3. ASSESSOR - Bernadine Quinton
a. Request permission for Joan Kennedy
to attend the New York State Assessor’s Association Summer Training
School in Utica/Rome, New York July 31 — August
4, 2000 at an approximate cost of$l,200.00.
4. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia
a. Request authorization to advertise a
Notice to Bidders in the Leader and other relevant publications of
general circulation on June 22, 2000 for the 2000-2001 Asphalt Paving
Contract with a returnable date of July 5, 2000.
b. Request "1998 Street
Improvements Contract "B" sidewalk resolutions approved on May
5, 2000 be revised as follows due to a clerical error:
Survey #48, 74 Colonial Avenue,
Section 55, Block 363, Lot 617, be reduced from $883.64 to
$174.20
Survey #25, 133 Colonial
Avenue, Section 55, Block 362, Lot 527, be reduced from $608.94
to $0.00.
Survey #59, 114 Colonial
Avenue, Section 55, Block 363, Lot 645, be reduced from $635.84
to $0.00.
Survey #8, 35 Colonial Avenue, Section
55, Block 67, Lot 571 be reduced from $736.08 to $0.00.
5. ELECTRIC

a. Request permission for Peter Reinke
to attend a Management Training Course in Melville, New York July 7,
2000 at an approximate cost of $149.00 plus expenses.
b. Request permission for Robert Smith
to attend the New York Independent System Operator Market Orientation
Course in Albany, New York June 19-22, 2000 at an approximate cost of
$800.00 plus expenses.
c. Request authorization for Brian
Newbery, Eric Jones and Marino Gonzalez to attend the Apprentice
Lineworker Program in Liverpool, New York June 5-8, 2000 at a cost of
$2,950.00 per year for four sessions, four days each, plus expenses.
6. BUILDING - Joseph M. Madigan
a. Request to accept contract of J-Colc
Construction Co. Inc., 2704 Grand Avenue, Belimore, New York 11710 for
Contract 99-04-BLDG-020, for the elevation of 184 Gordon Place in the
sum of $71,135.00 as final costs with the retainage to be released upon
the Village Board of Trustees accepting this contract.
b. Request to accept contract of Visual
Changes Construction, 1785 Rutgers Place, Merrick, New York 11566 for
Contract 99-04-BLDG-Oil, for the elevation of6i9 Miller Avenue in the
sum of $39,610.44 as final costs with the retainage to be released upon
the Village Board of Trustees accepting this contract.
7. POLICE - Michael E. Woodward
a. Request authorization for Lt. Paul
Jurgens to attend the Performance Appraisal Training Program in
Clarkstown, New York, July 20-21, 2000 at an approximate cost of $285.00
plus expenses.
b. Request authorization for Michael E.
Woodward to attend the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police
2000 Annual Training Conference in Ryebrook, New York, August 27-31,
2000 at an approximate cost of $1,140.00.
c. Request authorization for Sgt. Miguel
Berrnudez to attend the Less-Lethal Force Options: Concepts and
Considerations in the De-Esealation Philosophy in Trenton, New Jersey,
July 10-il, 2000 at an approximate cost of $285.00 plus expenses.

a. Request approval of the Board of
Trustee Minutes dated June 12, 2000.
b. Request authorization for the Mayor
to sign the contract between Adelphi University and the Incorporated
Village of Freeport for the overnight accommodations for the Midshipmen
of the US Naval Academy, August 10 — August 14,
2000.
c. Request from South Nassau Communities
Hospital to hang a banner for the Chris Larkin Memorial Charity Fishing
Tournament across Guy Lombardo Avenue from June 30-
July 23, 2000 and further request the Electric Department assist
in hanging this banner.
2. VILLAGE CLERK - Anna
Knoeller
a. Request approval of miscellaneous
sidewalk resolutions to Armond Cement Contracting Co., Inc. at a total
cost of $5,434.14.
b. Written notification of a defective,
unsafe, dangerous or obstructed condition in connection with a Village
sidewalk was received at the following locations:
113 Craig Avenue
18 Gill Avenue
160 East Sunrise Highway
700 South Long Beach Avenue
92 Layton Street
The Department of Public Works was
notified and upon receipt of their inspection report, the necessary
action will be taken to correct all conditions deemed to be dangerous.
3. TREASURER - Vilma

a. Request resolution to advance funds
in the amount of$142,016.23 FROM General Fund Account #3-002-09466-9 TO
Capitol Fund Account #H5197.272.
4. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis
DiGrazia
a. Request to advertise for bids in the
Leader and other relevant publications of general circulation for
Replacement of Playground Equipment at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on
June 22, 2000 with a returnable date of July 5, 2000.
5. ELECTRIC
- Hubert M. Bianco
a. Request to accept the proposal from
Lewis F. Goodfriend and Associates to provide engineering and design
services to develop specifications for an acoustical chamber at Power
Plant #2 at an estimated cost of $7,500.00 plus expenses.
b. Request to accept the proposal from
Schuyler Engineering P.C., 175 East Hoffman Avenue, Lindenhurst, New
York, 11757 to provide engineering services for the evaluation and
development of a Request For Proposal for the proposed stack improvement
project at Power Plant #2 at an estimated cost of $35,200.00 and further
request the Mayor be authorized to sign any and all contracts associated
with this agreement.
6. BUDGET AND PROCUREMENT
a. Request to award bid for One (1) New
2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Incident Command Vehicle to Paul Conte Chevrolet,
68 East Sunrise Highway, Freeport, NY 11520 at $33,710.00.
7. POLICE — Michael
E. Woodward
a. Request authorization for Sgt. Kevin
Noll and Sgt. Michael Smith to attend the Long
Island Emergency Management Conference, Management for the Millennium,
on June 14 — 15, 2000 in Melville, NY at an
approximate cost of $140.00.
8. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Ellen
Kelly
a. Request grant funds in the amount
of $17,265.00 to Wash & Shop Laundromat for Commercial Façade
Rehabilitation Project for 40-54 Merrick Road and 80-88 Church Street.
