COMMUNICATIONS
a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated October 30,
2000.
2. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia
a. Request to accept the contract of Bancker Construction Corp.,
218 Blydenburgh Road, Islandia, New York, for "1999 Water
Mains", at a final cost of $435,234.35, with the retainage to be
released upon the Village Board of Trustees accepting this contract
and the submitting and approval of a 10% maintenance bond.
b. Request to accept the contract of Atlantic Coast Dock Builders,
72 Tahlulah Lane, West Islip, New York, for "Freeport Fire
Department Training Facility — Bulkhead Replacement Project",
at a final cost of $261,633.20, with the retainage to be released upon
the Village Board of Trustees accepting this contract and the
submitting and approval of a 10% maintenance bond.
3. POLICE DEPARTMENT - Michael Woodward
a. Request approval for Miguel Bermudez and Daniel Carney to attend
the Heckler & Koch, Inc. Gun Operator and Instructor Course,
Bronx, New York, October 30, 2000 to November 10, 2000, at a cost of
$1,395.00 each, plus expenses.
4. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Ellen Kelly
a. Request to advertise for bids "Removal and Disposal of
Exterior Security Gates at Various Locations", on November 9,
2000, with a returnable date of November 28, 2000, and thrther that
the Village Clerk be authorized to advertise in the Leader and other
relevant publications of general circulation.
5. TREASURER - Vilma I. Lancaster
a. Request to hold a tax sale for real property of unpaid Village
taxes, interest, and other charges for the 2000 tax year pursuant to
provisions of Section 1452(1) of the Real Property Tax Law, on
December 14, 2000, at 10:00 am, and further that said notice be
advertised in the Leader and other relevant publications of general
circulation on November 24, 2000, November 30, 2000, and December 7,
2000.

a. Request to award contract "Furnishing of Liquid Caustic
Soda" to JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc., 40 Railroad Avenue, Mernimack,
New Hampshire, in the amount of $41,640.00, total bid.
b. Request authorization to request proposals from consulting
engineering firms for "Evaluation of Refuse Collection and
Development of 2001 Contract" for sanitation collection.
PUBLIC HEARING TO BE CONVENED AT 8:00 PM.
1. To consider a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant in the sum of
$56,275.00.

a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated November 13,
2000.
2. COUNSEL - Harrison J. Edwards
a. Request to authorize the Mayor to sign any and all documents
necessary to effectuate the Edward Byrne Grant in the amount of
$150,000.00 which is allocated for police overtime.
3. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia
a. Request to advertise for bids in the Leader and other relevant
publication of general circulation for "Furnishing of Eddy Fire
Hydrants and Gate Valves", with a returnable date of December 19,
2000.
b. Request to award the contract "North East Park Ball Field
Lighting" to Roland’s Electric Inc., 307 Suburban Avenue, Deer
Park, New York, in the amount of $182,600.00, total bid.
4. ASSESSOR - Bernadine Quinton
a. Request to add a Village Exemption on the 200 1/02 assessment
roll to Section 62, Block 189, Lots 139 to 144 in the amount of
$6,500.00.
b. Request to add a Veteran’s Exemption to Section 62, Block 94,
Lot 131 for the 1998/99, 1999/2000, and 2000/2001 roll, and fUrther to
refund $175.68 for 1998/1999, $191.76 for 1999/2000, and 199.05 for
2000/2001.
c. Request to add a Veteran’s Exemption to Section 54, Block 336,
Lot 38 for the 1999/2000 and 2000/200 1 roll, and further to refund
$191.76 for 1999/2000 and $199.05 for 2000/2001.
d. Request to add a Senior Citizen Exemption to the 200 1/2002
Tentative Assessment Roll for Section 54, Block 334, Lot 38 in the
amount of $1,150.00.
e. Request to add a Senior Citizen Exemption to the 200 1/2002
tentative assessment roll for Section 54, Block 317, Lot 185 in the
amount of $450.00.
f. Request to correct the 2000/200 1 final assessment roll for
various properties granted reductions, issue corrected tax bills or
refunds as required by state law, and further to change the 200 1/2002
tentative assessment roll for properties granted reductions.
5. TOURISM - Kathleen Keating
a. Request Kathleen Keating attend Travel Expo 2001, at Suffolk
Community College, March 22-24, 2001, at a cost of $350.00.
b. Request that Church Street and South Main Street be closed
between Sunrise Highway and the Railroad trestle on December 9, 2000,
from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm for "Holiday Lights Ceremony", and
further request that No Parking signs be posted prior to the event.

2. VILLAGE CLERK — Anna Knoeller
a. Written notification of a defective, unsafe, dangerous or
obstructed condition in connection with Village sidewalks at V/L W/O
475 Atlantic Avenue, 475 Atlantic Avenue, 89 Denhoff Avenue, 10 West
Merrick Road, and 285 Pine Street was received. The Department of
Public Works was notified and upon receipt of their inspection report,
the necessary action will be taken to correct all conditions deemed to
be dangerous.
