AGENDA BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING DECEMBER 4, 2000

1. COMMUNICATIONS

a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated November 27, 2000.

2. VILLAGE COUNSEL - Harrison J. Edwards

a. Request resolution that the offer in the amount of $1,885.69 for Bill #M1903 be accepted as full settlement of the claim in the amount of $2,055.52 against Daniel Ramos-Pabon for damage to a Police vehicle.

b. Request approval of Fire Service Award Program 2000/20001 Agreement with Penflex, Inc., and further request the Mayor be authorized to sign any and all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.

3. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Ellen Kelly

a. Request to award bid Removal and Disposal of Exterior Security Gates, to Talty Construction, 108 Powell Avenue, Rockville Centre, New York, in the amount of $9,000.00.

4. ELECTRIC - Hubert Bianco

a. Request approval for Hiram Vega to attend the New York Market Orientation Course, February 20-23, 2001 in Albany, New York, at an approximate cost of $800.00, plus expenses.

5. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia

a. Request to award the contract "Repairs to North West Storage Tank" to Think Tank Consultants, 285 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, New York 11946, in the amount of $73,000.00 total bid.

1. COMMUNICATIONS

a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated December 4, 2000.

b. Request from Freeport Chamber of Commerce to hang a holiday banner across Guy Lombardo Avenue, south of Front Street, from December 14, 2000 until January 5, 2001.

2. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia

a. Request to award bid Sale of Surplus Vehicles for 1977 Ford F700 Bucket Truck, to John H. Raynor, 145 South Main Street, Freeport, New York, in the amount of $100.50.

b. Request the contract for Demolition of 21 and 23 East Merrick Road be awarded to B & A Demolition and Removal, Inc., 70 New Street, Oceanside, New York, for the total amount of $96,960.00.

3. ELECTRIC - Hubert Bianco

a. Request Hubert Bianco, or his delegate, attend the following New York Independent System Operator Committee Meetings in 2001, at an estimated cost of $325.00 per meeting: January 4, February 1, March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, October 4, November 1, and December 6.

b. Request Hubert Bianco and Mayor William F. Glacken attend the American Public Power Association Legislative Rally and Committee Meeting, February 4-7, 2001, in Washington, D.C., at an estimated cost of $850.00, plus expenses.

c. Request to accept the proposal from P.W. Grosser Consulting Engineer & Hydrogeologist to document environmental conditions at Power Plant #1 for the estimated cost of $11,980.00

4. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Ellen Kelly

a. Request, due to a change order, an additional grant of $4,750.00 for Commercial Façade Rehabilitation Program at 40-54 West Merrick Road and 80-88 Church Street.

 

 

AGENDA BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING DECEMBER 18, 2000

 

1. COMMUNICATIONS

a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated December 11, 2000.

b. Request from Lois Segura to hang Grand Opening banners at 46 North Main Street, froth December 13, 2000 to January 13, 2001.

2. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia

a. Request to accept the proposal from ARTEC Consultants Inc., 114 West 26th Street, New York, New York, to provide acoustical engineering services for the Village Hall Main Conference Room and the Village Court for an amount not to exceed $3,000.00.

b. Request to accept the proposal from Greenman-Petersen, Inc., 325 W. Main St., Babylon, New York, to provide engineering services necessary to prepare construction plans and specifications for the "Century Court Improvement Project" that will be part of the Extension of Excelsior Hook & Ladder No. I Fire Department Quarters contract, for a lump sum of

$12,100.00.

3. ASSESSOR - Bernadine Quinton

a. The 2001 Final Assessment Roll of the Inc. Village of Freeport will be filed on January 2, 2001, and will be open for inspection during normal business hours from January 4, 2001 to January 19, 2001 in the Village Clerk’s Office and the Assessor’s Office. Further request that the Village Clerk publish and post the required legal notice in the Leader and other relevant publications of general circulation on January 4, 2001.

b. Request to correct the 2000/01 final assessment roll for Sec. 54, Blk. 085, Lot 112 and Sec. 62, BIk. 142, Lot 7 granted reductions, issue corrected tax bills or refunds as required by law, and further request to change the 2001/02 tentative assessment roll for properties granted reductions.

4. BOARD OF REVIEW

a. Request to make various deductions on the 2000 tentative assessment roll, and further request the Assessor make the recommended reductions on the 2001 tentative roll prior to the printing of the 2001 final assessment rolL

5. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Ellen Kelly

a. Request to advertise for bids for "The Renovation of Commercial Façade Property under the Freeport Community Development Agency Commercial Façade Rehabilitation Program: 31 and 33 Guy Lombardo Avenue, Freeport", in the Leader, Newsday, and other relevant publications on December 21, 2000 with a returnable date of January 18, 2001.

 

PUBLIC HEARING TO BE CONVENED AT 8:00 PM

1. To consider designation of Time Equities, Inc. as a qualified and eligible sponsor for the purchase and redevelopment of a portion of a parcel of real property owned by the Freeport Community Development Agency and situated at Sec. 55, BIk. 481, Lots 11 and 12, within the Inc. Village of Freeport, also known as and by 68 and 70 South Main Street.
