1. COMMUNICATIONS
a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated July 23, 2001.
b. Request approval for Lorraine Avitabile to hold a block party on
Forbes Place, between Atlantic Avenue and Ray Street, August 18, 2001,
with a rain date of August 19, 2001, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
2. BUDGET AND PROCUREMENT - Teresa Baldinucci
a. Request to advertise for bids for Lot Clearances in the Leader and
other relevant publications on August 9, 2001, with a returnable date of
August 21, 2001.
b. Request to advertise for bids for Emergency Board Ups in the
Leader and other relevant publications on August 9, 2001, with a
returnable date of August 21, 2001.
c. Request to award bid "ADSS Aerial Cable" to Accu-Tech
Corp., 49 Kieffer Lane, Kingston, New York, in the amount of $18,100.00.
3. AUDITOR - Thomas Preston
a. Request to transfer $800.00 from budget line #1320.101, personal
services to budget line #1320.453, schools and seminars.
4. COMMUNITY DEVELOMENT - Ellen Kelly
a. Request approval of Nassau County Consortium
Agreement for CDBG Program Year 27, October l, 2001 to September 30,
2002, between the Incorporated Village of Freeport and Nassau County.
5. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia
a. Request to award contract "Garfield Street Road Improvement
Project" to the lowest responsible bidder F.D. Contracting Corp., 8
Rumson Road, Massapequa, New York, in the amount of $597,496.00, total
bid.
b. Request to accept proposal of A. James deBruin & Sons, LLP, 11
Union Avenue, Bethpage, New York, to provide surveying and drafting
services necessary to prepare construction plans for the "Colony
Park Area Road Improvement Project" for a lump sum of $22,500.00.
c. Request to accept proposal of Sidney B. Bowne & Son, 235 East
Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, New York, to provide surveying and drafting
services necessary to prepare construction plans for the "2002-03
Road Improvement Projects" for a lump sum of $41,500.00.
6. VILLAGE COUNSEL - Harrison J. Edwards
a. Request approval of the contract agreement with the County of
Nassau Traffic Safety Board for participation in the Stop DWI Program
for the calendar year 2001; and further request the Mayor be authorized
to sign any and all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
b. Request to schedule a Public Hearing for the Department of Justice
Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program, on August 20, 2001, at 8:00
pm.

1. COMMUNICATIONS
a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated July 23, 2001.
b. Request approval for Beth Hawky to hold a block party on Sweezy
Avenue between Sigmond Street and West Merrick Road, September 15, 2001,
with a rain date of September 16, 2001, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
c. Request approval for Adriana Ferri to hold a block party on Whaley
Street between South Bayview Avenue and Locust Street, September 2,
2001, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
2. BUDGET AND PROCUREMENT - Teresa Baldinucci
a. Request to award bid "One New Chevrolet Suburban " for
the Police Department to Ramp Chevrolet, 1595 Route 212, Port Jefferson,
New York 11776, in the amount of $35,992.00.
3. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia
a. Request to advertise for bids in the Leader and other relevant
publications of general circulation for "Solid Waste and Recyclable
Materials Collection and Disposal Service Contract" with a
returnable date of September 25, 2001.
b. Request to advertise for bids in the Leader and other relevant
publications of general circulation for "Furnishing of Recycling
Containers", with a returnable date of September 25, 2001.
4. VILLAGE COUNSEL - Harrison J. Edwards
a. Request to amend Vehicle and Traffic Regulations as follows:
Sec. 41 - Parking prohibited at all times unless otherwise indicated.
ADD: Church Street, west side, from Smith Street to Raynor Street, from
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Mondays; Church Street, east side, from Smith
Street to Raynor Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
on Tuesdays. DELETE: Church Street, west side, from Smith Street to
Raynor Street from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Thursdays; Church Street,
west side, from Smith Street to Raynor Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon on Fridays.
b. Request to amend Vehicle and Traffic Regulations as follows: Sec.
25.3 No left turn. ADD: Parking Field No. 7, westbound exit onto Henry
Street.
c. Request resolution that the offer from Material Damage Adjustments
Corp., regarding the claim against Carmen Holguin for Bill #M-1932, for
damage to a sign and tree owned by the Village of Freeport be settled in
full payment of $407.75.
d. Request resolution that the offer from Allstate Insurance Company
regarding claim against Juan Lorca for Bill 4M-1930, for damage to a
police vehicle owned by the Village of Freeport, be settled in the full
payment of $832.76.
e. Request resolution that the offer from Clarendon National
Insurance Company, regarding the claim against Miguel Galarza for Bill
4M-1919, for damage to a vehicle owned by the Village of Freeport, be
settled in full payment of $414.65.
f. Request to amend Vehicle and Traffic Regulations as follows: Sec.
46 - No stopping or standing at any time unless otherwise indicated.
ADD: Along the southerly curbline of the Henry Street entrance to
Parking Field No. 7. Along the easterly and westerly curbline of the
western entrance to Parking Field No. 7 off of Sunrise Highway.
g. Request to amend Vehicle and Traffic Regulations as follows: Sec.
24 - Stop streets at locations other than main arteries of travel be
amended to add the following: Sec. 24-Stop streets at locations other
than main Arteries of travel. ADD: Location - (57) Smith Street,
Intersecting Street - (1) Church Street.
