AGENDA  BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING October 15, 2001

1. COMMUNICATIONS

a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated October 1, 2001.

b. Request from Herbert Duran of Grupo Solo Por Hoy, 77 South Main Street, to use Parking Field #12 for their 25th Anniversary Meeting, on October 20, 2001, from 6:00 pmto 10:00 pm

2. COUNSEL - Harrison J. Edwards

a. Request to amend Vehicle and Traffic Regulations: Sec. 41 Parking prohibited at all times unless otherwise indicated. ADD: Park Ave., both sides beginning at northerly curbline of W. Merrick Rd., north to southerly curbline of Centre St., on school days from 8:00 amto 4:00 pm.
DELETE: Park Ave., both sides, beginning 100 feet south of southerly curbline of Pine St., north to southerly curbline of Centre St., on school days from 8:00 amto 4:00 pm.

b. Request approval of contract between the Freeport Police Department and the State of New York Department of State for Hand Held Ticket Writer in the amount of $10,000.00 and further that the Mayor be authorized to sign any and all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.

3. ASSESSOR - Bernadine Quinton

a. Request to change the 200 1/02 final assessment roll and the 2001/02 tax roll for various properties granted reductions, issue corrected tax bills or refunds as required by state law.

4. PUBLIC WORKS - Louis DiGrazia

a. Request to award contract "Furnishing Recycling Containers" to the lowest bidder, T.M. Fitzgerald & Associates, Two Lane of Acres, Haddonfield, New Jersey, in the amount of $75,250.74, total bid.

5. BUDGET AND PROCUREMENT - Teresa Baldinucci

a. Request to re-advertise for 150,000 Gallons, More or Less, No. 2 Fuel Oil Gas Turbine for the Electric Department in the Leader and other relevant publications of general circulation with a returnable date of November 6, 2001.

AGENDA  BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING October 1, 2001

1. COMMUNICATIONS

a. Request approval of Board of Trustees Minutes dated September 24, 2001. 

b. Request from Freeport United Methodist Church to hang a banner on South Long Beach avenue, south of Merrick Road, and to hang a banner on Babylon Turnpike and Grand Avenue, from October 20, 2001 to November 10, 2001, to announce their Annual Harvest Fair, and further that the Electric Department assist in the hanging of the banners.

c. Request from Freeport Fire Department to hang a banner on South Main Street south of Mill Road, from October 1, 2001 to October 7, 2001, to announce their Annual Fire Expo on Sunday, October 7, 2001, and further that the Electric Department assist in the hanging and removal of the banner.

2. VILLAGE COUNSEL - Harrison J. Edwards

a. Request resolution for the Freeport Community Development Agency to establish a Citibank Control Account for all future rehabilitation projects and further request the current Commercial Rehab Account be closed prior to the establishment of the new account and further that the designated signatories be Mayor William F. Glacken, Vilma Lancaster, Treasurer, and Ellen Kelly, Director of Community Development.

b. Request to set a public hearing to amend Chapter 210, "Zoning" of the Code of the Incorporated Village of Freeport, by amending Article II, entitled "Board of Appeals" by enacting a new Sec. 2 10.10.0, entitled "Alternate Members".

c. Request authorization for the allowable fee to be assessed to a tax lien to a maximum of $250.00 and also authorize XSPAND, Inc., 666 Old Country Road, Garden City, New York to begin collection of outstanding tax liens through foreclosure.

d. Request authorization for Esehbacher Engineering, 532 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, New York, to conduct a Traffic Study on Sunrise Highway and Park Avenue, at a not-to-exceed cost of $3,000.00.
