The Freeport Board of Education and the district superintendent, Dr.
Eric Eversley, ponder the dismal results of the recent state
assessments. During the two hours of discussion, before their
illegal entry into executive session, not one word was spoken about
the fate of the hapless fourth graders, who are now marked as the
lowest performing youngsters in Nassau County.
