SUOZZI
WINS

Westbury, NY,
Glen
Cove Mayor Tom Suozzi defeated the Democratic party machine in
prevailing over Assemb. Tom DiNapoli in yesterday’s Democratic
primary.
Surrounded
by his family, friends and supporters, Suozzi was both joyous in
victory and somber as he recalled the tragic events at the WTC
and his own personal loss. He praised the spirit of the American
people and the greatness of America and promised to live up to
the ideals "that make this country great."
Despite
the predictions of some pollsters and pundits, Suozzi proved
that it is people that elect candidates, not endorsements.
Suozzi
praised DiNapoli as "A great Democrat and a great
leader."
If
elected, Suozzi promised to "Break the back of machine
politics in Nassau County" and take on the patronage and
waste that have made Nassau County one of the worst run counties
in the nation.
Suozzi
concluded his thank you’s of the evening by thanking the
volunteer workers of his campaign. He told them, "I couldn’t
have done this without you. Don’t ever let me forget who you
are."
