Glacken
Sworn In For Second Term As Mayor
by Stewart Lilker
William F. Glacken and his conservative
republican team of trustees Renier Frierson and Don Miller, along with
Village Justice V. Roy Cacciatore were sworn in tonight for a second term.
All had big smiles as they took the oath.

New York State Supreme Court Judges Pat
Collins, John DiNoto and Ralph Franco honored the village with their
attendance at the swearing in ceremonies. Judge DiNoto administered the
oath to Trustee Renier Frierson and Judge Collins administered the Oath to
Mayor Glacken.
Mayor Glacken’s mother was beaming as
her son was sworn in.
Village PR Director, Pat Murphy, did a
fine job organizing the evening as the agenda and the appointments went
without a glitch.
Francis Fineo was again sworn in as Acting
Village Justice. The Mayor’s brothers-in-law, Harrison J. Edwards and
Ray Straub were again appointed as Village Attorney and Research Assistant
to the Board of Trustees, respectively. As expected, all the
other
appointments went to the village faithful.
The mood in the conference room was joyful
as the winners and appointees mingled after the ceremonies were completed.
Pat Murphy made a copy of the evening’s
appointments for the reporter from the Leader, asking your reporter if he
could wait a few minutes for another copy, as she explained that she
wanted to meet the Mayor’s mother.
The only low point of the evening, came
after Murhpy obtained another copy of the appointments from the Village
Clerk, Anna Knoeller and gave them to FNYN. Mob/Village Attorney Edwards
lit into Murphy in his usual rude, discourteous and abrasive manner,
berating her for giving out the appointment list, explaining that there
were errors on the list. Murphy’s explanation that Knoeller had
corrected the errors didn’t cool the abusive Edwards down, as he
continued speaking to Murphy like she was a piece of dirt.
